So I have a cousin. Let's call her J.
J is five. J is the cutest thing you've ever seen. J is kind. and J hates school.
Now, I first learned of this when my grandparents roped me into trying to convince her to going to school - without my permission, may I add. It went something like this.
J: I hate school. :(
Grandma: HIKARI LOVES SCHOOL DON'T YOU HIKARI?!'
Me: No.
immediate silence and evil looks fill the room.
Me:...but the law says you have to go.

Well, I've just found out that she's going now... and why? Her parents told her her mother would get very sick unless she went - but she would never be ill if J had good attendance.
It takes a sick, sick person to emotionally blackmail a five-year-old with rooted fears of school... it would be so much simpler to find the root of the problem rather than scaremonger a toddler. Sick, sick people.

Welcome to GASB
This is a new blog about school. Love it or hate it, every kid has to go (or certainly in the UK and US) unless you're homeschooled or unschooled - a welcome minority. But for those of stuck in the school system, this blog hopes to provide information and - occasionally - some comic relief.
